I know that you do not use the old adox machines to confect the cassettes, Adox had in that time plastic-cassettes with a bit round edges, but I do not really think that it are the cassettes.
It must be the masterrolls that are scratched, aren' t they able by fotokemika to look, that their machines clean any longer (or get they even scratched layer before coating?).
I can accept all the other points that you mentioned (I am not out of reality and dreaming) but not real scratches (on the layer emulsion is always okay) that you can see by printing.
I had luck and it waren nur ein Film mit Kratzern, nach der Reinigung mit Alkohol konnte ich vergrößern ohne "Telegraphenkabel" im Druck.
