Ja, von dem eigenartigen Firmengeflecht habe ich auch schon geh?t.



Zur Geschichte des Combi-Plans folgendes Zitat eines Marketing(?)-Menschen der Firma "HP":

No it is currently made in Gotene, Sweden. It has also been made in Germany and in Newark, NJ.



But it was never designed in either Sweden or the US, It was designed in Germany and originally sold as the Krause Tank as that was the name of the designer/manufacturer in Germany. It then became the Gepe Tank when Gepe purchased it in the early 70's. In the early 80's we, HP Marketing Corp. purchased the system from Gepe and moved production to the US for a few years. When that did not work out satisfactorly we transferred the tools back to Sweden where it is still made today in the BiWex factory.

Nein, der wird derzeit in Gotene in Schweden hergestellt. Er wurde auch in Deutschland und Newark (New Jersey) produziert.

Aber er wurde weder in Schweden noch den USA entwickelt. Er wurde in Deutschland entwickelt und urspr?nglich als Krause-Tank verkauft, da so der deutsche Hersteller hie?

Dann wurde er zum Gepe-Tank, als die Firma Gepe in den fr?hen 70ern die Produktion ?bernahm.

In den fr?hen 80ern erwarb die Firma "HP Marketing Corp." das System von Gepe und verlagerte die Produktion f?r einige Jahre in die USA. Als sich das als unbefriedigend herausstellte, wurden die Werkzeuge (Spritzgussformen?) wieder nach Schweden verlagert, wo der Tank auch heute noch in der BiWex-Fabrik hergestellt wird.

We kept the established name (Combina fo reel tanks and CombiPlan for

sheet film systems) and manufactured them in Newark? NJ?



As the molds were made for European molding machines we found that our

manufacturing and assembly facility was have a difficult time using and

maintaining the molds so when we bacame part of the Gepe Group of

companies in the early 80s we had production of the tanks moved back to

Gotene?



So the ?marketing genius? was the inventor over 50 years ago? The name

worked for him? Gepe and us so why change it? The only other name that

we are it aware it being sold as was the Linhof tank as Linhof has

distributed it in germany for more then 30 years?

Der Entwickler Krause war ein Werkzeugmacher(?), der Photographie mochte und ein einfacheres System f?r die Entwicklung von Roll-, Kleinbild- und Planfilm wollte, als es damals auf dem Markt verf?gbar war.

Er entwickelte und fertigte das gesamte System (Kleinbild- und Rollfilmspulen aus Edelstahl, die von der Mitte aus geladen wurden und so perfekt zu bedienen war, da?es auch Einh?digen gelungen sein soll).

Und er war ein Anh?ger der Kippentwicklung.

Daher wurden alle Tanks, auch der f?r 5x7" f?r Kippentwicklung ausgelegt.

Da verschiedene Filmgr?en verarbeitet werden konnten, wurd das System als "Combi-System" bezeichnte.



Schlie?ich verkaufte Krause das gesamte System an Gebe(sp?), die den Namen beibehielten und in ihrer BiWex-Fabrik in Gotene in Schweden produzierten.

Als der USA-Vertrieb der Firm Gepe von Braun ?bernommen wurde, musste Gepe damit aufh?en, diese Tanks in den USA zu vertreiben, da Braun der US-Distributor der Firma Paterson war. Das Combi-System war ein ?berlegener Konkurrent der Paterson-Tanks, und Paterson h?te Braun die Distributionslizenz entzogen, wenn Braun Combi importiert h?te.

Daher verkaufte Gepe das Combi-System an die Firma HP Marketing.

Die behielt die etablierten Namen "Combina" f?r KB- und Rollfilmtanks und "Combi-Plan" f?r den Planfilmtank bei und produzierte sie in Newark, New Jersey.
