2nd Hand Pentax 645

I'm about to go mid format. Fell on a nice deal of a Pentax 645 (model

released in 1998 I think, not the AF model).

There are 2 Pentax SMC-A 645 lenses that come with it :

- 55/2,8 (brand new)

- 150/3,5 (2nd hand)

The deal : 1500 euro



My questions to the specialists :

- is this type of camera OK to buy 2 nd hand or is it advisable to buy it

new ? Noticed there's a lot of electronics in it. Is it realiable, solid

enough for long term use without failures ??

- is the price right ?

- won't I have problems shooting infrared with it ?? Having the problems

with some Canon slr's in mind.

i use the pentax 645 nii (last model) and shoot maco infrared with it, no problems so the older model should do it also.

i like this camera very much, great optics and easy handling.



1500 euro for the 645 type 1 is too much!



these lenses can be bought from www.keh.com have a look for prices there.
