Any chance for a thicker base a la Ilford Portfolio?
We can be flexible in cutting but not in coating.
This is the same for everyone.
Coating a different product means an investemnt of > 100.000 EUR.
Cutting a different size means an investment of about 250 EUR.

I was just thinking loud Mirko. The thing is that the old, original MCP paper, produced by AGFA was coated on a rather thick base, comparable to todays Portfolio RC paper from Harman. It would be nice to have this thickness back because the print becomes quite fragile and can be easily bent once the size exceeds 18x24 cm. I have no idea what share of the actual production cost is represented by the paper alone vs coating and silver/emulsion but would assume that there is a market for a heavier RC paper.
Thanks for commenting Mirko
