Hello everyone,
Now that I’ve got a 140mm macro lens for the RB, I’d like to use it outdoors on a tripod as well, rather than just on the reproduction stand.
For that, I’d need an adjustment slide.
Does anyone have any experience of how ‘heavy-duty’ it needs to be? In this specific case, I’d need to clarify whether a Novoflex Castel-Q or a Castel-XQ is recommended for the RB.
At the moment, I’m leaning towards going all out, i.e. the XQ – I’m sure my trusted dealer would say the same – but perhaps one or two of you have your own experience?
I’ll try it out for myself, of course, but that dealer doesn’t have the parts in stock.
Thanks for now
Frank

Why does it have to be a Novoflex? Just look for a second-hand Pentacon and you’re sorted. It should be cheaper, and at least I’d have my Kiev-60, complete with extension rings and that massive 180mm Sonnar lens.
Best regards,
Franz

It doesn’t have to be Novoflex; I just used it as a rough guide for the size. And everyone knows Novoflex, after all.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll have a look for it.
Best wishes, Frank
