Hello,
Does anyone have any development data for Adox/Efke 50 in PMK Pyro developer?
Best regards,
Wolfgang

Hello Wolfgang,
Perhaps my data on Efke25 in PMK will be of help:
for N: 12 mins at 20°C, agitating every 30 seconds (turn the can upside down and back once), exposure: add 1.5 stops
for N-1: 9 mins, add 2 stops, otherwise as for N
For N+1: 16 mins, add 1/2 stop, residue as for N
These were the measurements for enlargement on Papiergrad. Spezial, i.e. Zone 9 at 1.5d over fog.
Tilting every 30 seconds is the upper limit; any slower results in clouding.

Hi Wolfgang,
First of all, thanks for your data!
I’ll start with 10 minutes to determine the ISO sensitivity.
I develop the CHS 25 for 7.5 minutes at 21°C (tilting every 15 seconds), which gives a speed of 16 ASA.
Sharpness and grain are better than with Rodinal (1:50/1:100)
Best regards
Wolfgang

Like all developers for dye formation (“staining”), PMK masks the grain (or, more precisely, the never entirely uniform distribution of silver) and, due to the yellow stain, produces a flat highlight curve on variable contrast paper.

Hello again,
I’ve done a bit of testing in the meantime.
The CHS 50 achieves its full speed of 50 ISO.
For mixed-light enlargers, I would recommend developing for 8 to 8.5 minutes.
PMK dilution 1+2+100 at 21°C, agitate every 15 seconds.
Best regards,
Wolfgang
