Bonderer
Hello
Anyone who, like me, has been taking photographs and developing their own film for a long time will naturally have a large number of negatives. I have now found a company that sells and manufactures excellent archiving materials: Hans Schröer in Karlsdorf-Neuthard. Some items are reasonably priced, others a little more expensive, but the quality is excellent. I packed 10 negative sleeves with tab strips into each Folio II-Pegasus folding box. Each box holds around 250 negative sleeves, depending on the material, and the boxes are sturdy enough to support the weight without any problems. Because I’ve packed the sleeves in sets of ten, it’s relatively easy to find a specific negative.
That’s how I’ve done it, but I’m sure there are other ideas too. If you give them a ring, they’ll be happy to help. The staff are not only friendly but also knowledgeable – a rare combination. The items sold there are practical tools; they’re meant to work, and they do so well. After repacking my collection, the space required has been reduced by about 50%. For those with deeper shelves, there’s also a version with a ‘drawer’.
