Hi there,
Now that my stupid DSLR has kicked the bucket, I’ve got this 8mm Walimex fisheye lens lying around. It fits the KB, but of course the Mini-Geli is in the picture.
If I just crop it out (ok, maybe on a lathe), will I get the full 35mm format covered, or what? – it should allow for even more extreme angles than on the small sensor.
Or is there anything else against it? – I mean, apart from the uncontrollably thick noses?
May the light be with you

If in doubt, you’ll end up with a fancy paperweight. Give it a go!
(With an 8mm focal length, I’d say probably not, as the 35mm format is sufficiently illuminated.)
Best regards,
Franz

A PAPERWEIGHT? – I’d rather have a new DSLR...
All the best to you too

Hi Frank,
Sorry for the late reply, but perhaps this will still be of some help.
At "http://www.360pano.de/tokina-sigma-nikon.html"
someone offers exactly this service on a professional basis.
You can also take a look at some sample images at
"http://www.360pano.de/samyang_5D_1D.html"
to see what it entails.
So there shouldn’t be anything standing in the way of this. B)
Best regards,
Christian
