Good morning everyone, I’m currently looking for development times for the Agfaphoto APX 100, but in my developer portfolio I can only find times for Rodinal, not for FX-39 or T-Max. Am I really the first person to have thought of developing this film in something other than Rodinal? Or is my portfolio just that limited? D76 or Atomal would obviously be options, but for various reasons I don’t want to use powder developers.

This film is generally regarded as the identical twin of Rollei RPX 100. Hello, The 'New Emulsion' label has now been removed. The last batches of APX100 produced in Leverkusen have/had an expiry date of December 2015. Anything with a (significantly) longer shelf life is the new film. You can also identify the films by the coding on the cartridge: [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND] (I’d already posted this on another forum) Best regards

Here’s another very simple way to tell them apart: all Agfaphoto films (i.e. the pure retail brand with no reference to the old Agfa) feature a red dot as a symbol, including the relabelled Fuji colour films. All genuine Agfa films – that is, the old ones from Leverkusen and the current ones from Belgium – bear the traditional Agfa rhombus. This still belongs as a trademark to the ‘real’ Agfa, i.e. today’s Belgian Agfa-Gevaert. There would also be no confusion if the correct brand names were used: Agfa APX 100 vs. Agfaphoto APX 100. It’s actually quite simple, isn’t it?

Oops, you’re probably right about that. Although I never actually bought them in that version. Instead, I got quite a few as ‘Twin-Packs’ from another supplier. Those didn’t have a dot or a diamond, though. Guess it wasn’t quite that simple after all… :unsure: Hopefully the rest of my ramblings is more or less correct…?
