I would like to scan some Fomapan 100 6x7 negatives.
We have a Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED.
What presets would you recommend?
Has anyone had good results with this?

The negative should be just as clean as when enlarging it. I scan black-and-white negatives in colour mode and convert them later during image editing.
I simply adjust the colour saturation until I can make out a decent black-and-white image. There are certainly better methods.

Whenever the scanner and software allow it, I always do a multi-pass scan with 2 to 4 passes; this brings out more detail in the shadows, so
I skip the colour scan and just set the black and white points. I then do the rest in Photoshop. But that’s a matter of personal preference. As we all know, there are many ways to achieve the same result.
