Hello,
A few years ago, I exposed a roll film which I’ve now found in my darkroom and would like to develop. The film has a light green backing paper with two white parallel streaks and a white diamond.
Unfortunately, I can’t remember what type of film it is.
Can anyone help me?
Regards
Thomas

This is a roll of film wound by Foma or Forte.
Have a look to see if the adhesive strip is still on the end.
Best regards,
Mirko

Hello Mirko,
First of all, Happy New Year to you.
Unfortunately, the label has come off. But I imagine it’s an Efke 820 IR. The last MF Fomas I processed didn’t have a green backing paper, as far as I can remember, and I’ve never had any Forte. But I did order one or two IR films from you at some point. Could this be the Efke IR?

Hello Thomas,
Happy New Year to you too.
Efke generally uses a different protective paper (white with black numbers).
This one was only used by Foma and Forte.
We will be using it in future as well and are currently working on a new edition.
Maco also supplies Foma with rolls.
Best regards,
Mirko

Hi Mirco,
Thanks a lot,
it might well be a Maco 820 IR. I’ll develop a few centimetres of it to check.
Best regards, Thomas
