Lars,
At the moment, the difference is simply that our film probably comes from a different batch and is packed in our light-protective containers.
These are also important because all films manually packaged at efke are prone to light leakage at the edges. The film must therefore be taken out and put away in the shade and returned immediately to the light-protective container.
As I wrote earlier today in this
post, we plan to handle the final production of CHS films ourselves in future and to introduce a second quality control stage beforehand.
However, this will only be possible once all areas of the factory are operational.
Price differences are often down to who purchased the film and when.
At efke, too, the prices of raw materials are rising, and in recent years we have had to make necessary adjustments of around 10–15% per year with all our production partners.
Furthermore, it is of course always a question of who buys and sells how much.
Best regards,
Mirko
