I’d bought three faulty Pentax LX cameras in quick succession. The first repair shop gave up. A private repairman ‘fixed’ one of them – it was very expensive, took ages, and it still doesn’t work properly. I’d actually had enough by then, and that’s when I turned to Foto Tessmann in Hameln. I sent them an LX and got it back repaired and in working order, and it was significantly cheaper than the amateur repairman. Then I sent Tessmann the last and worst LX, and I got that one back repaired and in working order too, and it wasn’t much more expensive than the first one Tessmann had. Incidentally, the two repairs at Tessmann cost about the same as a camera from the amateur repairman, and Tessmann offers a warranty on the repair.
So anyone who needs or wants to have a camera repaired should give Tessmann a try.
