There’s a lot of speculation going on about Rodinal in a Russian photography forum at the moment; apparently, the camera shops there don’t realise that Rodinal is still available. There’s also some confusion about R09 and so on. I tried to clear things up a bit, but now I’m a bit confused myself. As far as I’ve gathered, the following applies: Rodinal = Adonal = Rollei R09 One Shot. But what about Foma R09 and Adolux APH 09 – is that Urrodinal or Rodinal? I can’t quite make sense of the catalogue either, as it mentions something about Adonal in relation to APH 09; I don’t know if that’s a mistake or if they’re identical.
Best regards, Thomas

Hello Thomas,
Thanks for pointing that out.
The ADONAL text must have slipped in by mistake with the APH 09.
I’d already written a post about this whole issue.
So ADONAL is not the same as APH09.
ADONAL = Rodinal
APH09 = Original Wolfen formula, but Calbe has adjusted the development times to match Rodinal at our suggestion, so that customers can try it out more easily.
Foma09 may still be the old R09 with a 1:40 dilution. It depends on whether it is cheaper than APH09 or not.
The base material is available in various grades of quality and has different photographic performance.
Only the highest grade is used for ADONAL.
That basically explains the price differences.
The formulations differ only slightly.

Thanks, Mirko,
That helps me too. As my last litre bottle of R09 is slowly running out, I now know which replacement to try.
