It depends on what you’re developing in the canister. You can’t fit roll film into the smaller canisters (unless you print your own roll film holder). My alternative has always been to use HC-110 for development. Because of the high dilution, you still get decent value for money.€

That is, of course, absolutely correct. I (like others, I suppose) implicitly assumed we were talking about 35mm film. I’m not entirely wrong, though: if you’re developing 35mm film alongside sheet film, the second tank for 35mm still pays for itself quite quickly. And on top of the cost factor, there’s the hassle of handling three times the amount of liquid, which is certainly a fair bit more inconvenient than the 250ml I need for a film in my Kindermann tank. Perhaps the thread starter could say exactly what he wants to develop?
