... and was happy to sell me a few sheets for testing purposes. I did try the Agfa MCC about 10 years ago, but as a fan of warm tones, I didn’t like it as much as the PW14. Since the latter is now definitely coming to an end, and I find the ILFORD MG WT a bit too green (otherwise top-notch) and the Fomatone too chamois-coloured, the MCC is certainly worth a test at the moment, although I am somewhat sceptical about the pure white base paper. The ADOX Variotone base paper, for example, is actually a bit too bright for my liking. Long story short: since I have 70

...and unfortunately, Impexer themselves aren’t offering any trial packs for the launch...

Before the first production run, we gave away 1,500 test packs free of charge as part of the MCC project registration. Then the material was limited, so we only cut certain formats from the first rolls. Now we’re slowly getting into the swing of things and will also be producing test packs. Yesterday I placed some sample packs on the display stand to the left of the shop door. With a bit of luck, there’ll still be some left when you next visit. Best regards, Mirko

Now that’s what I call a helping hand from the neighbourhood – perhaps I should have signed it with Siglinde and emphasised that I need the stuff for my advanced art course – who knows? :-) Unfortunately, however, there was nothing left of the scraps this afternoon :-( On the other hand, of course, this shows that there is a need for small sample packs. There were a few 30 x 40 packs of photographic paper next to the door, marked up to 22 euros with a marker, and now I’m annoyed that I didn’t ask what sort of paper it was... *grumble* I never print on such a large format (at least not yet), but I could have cut it to size... "It's my own fault" department :P Mirko, would you please tell me what sort of paper it was? Then I might pop round to your shop again on Saturday. B) Thanks and best wishes Sandra
