I’m running a course on the ‘wet collodion process’ on 11–12 December. After that, probably not until 2011, but that’s too late...
Ambrotypes (instant positives) and negatives on glass. The process, published by Scott Archer in 1851, was a milestone in the 19th century, as it combined fine detail with simple reproduction at a manageable effort (and cost).
