Hello,
I’d like to have a go at C41 development.
I’ve come across Colortec C 41 by Tetenal.
Now my question:
My developing tank holds 500 ml.
How do you mix the working solution?
Does the container yield 1 litre, and can I develop 12–16 films with that?
That wouldn’t be of much interest to me – when would I ever have 12–16 films to hand?
I’d like to develop films bit by bit, not all at once.
Thanks and best regards, Martin
Hello Martin,
I rarely develop colour film either, but I’ve had no trouble conducting the development
of 4 x 4 films (120) using the Tetenal Colorkit.
First I prepared a 50% working solution (suitable for the 500ml Jobo),
and conducted the development of 4 films. Then, after 2 weeks, another 2.
I stored the original and working solutions in the cold pantry.
After about 2 months, I prepared another 50% working solution and
developed 2 x 4 films with a break of about 3 weeks.
Very easy to use, only the bath temperature has to be exactly right.
With the residue of the chemicals, I managed to do another 2 usable cross-developments
each time.
Regards,
Marc
