Hi Max,
According to Tetenal’s beta-time chart, the HP4+/CHM125 only struggles to reach a beta of 0.5 after 15 minutes using a 60-second agitation cycle. Even after 20 minutes (assuming Neofin is still effective by then), a beta of 0.6 has not yet been achieved. If extension factors due to dilution or similar are added, you could end up in ranges well over half an hour; and Tetenal does not recommend that...
Swinging regards
Henning
Ahh, thanks a lot for the info! I’ve just developed a roll of film using the 3-second rhythm. The beta values really do seem to be a problem there. I used a time of 5 minutes and the contrast didn’t turn out particularly rich.
Can anyone tell me which developer is best to use with this film?
Regards, Max
