Hello Wolfgang,
Thank you for the quote. As I said, I’m already experimenting in that direction.
It’s just that the differing information is leaving me a bit confused:
The ADOX.de website mentions ratios of 1+7 and 1+15
The shop mentions ratios of up to 1+19
The Agfa documentation refers to 1+11, and goes into great detail
about a stock solution that you’re supposed to prepare, from which you
then dilute further.
And so far I’ve stuck to Agfa.
What bothers me a bit is that no
data is provided with the developer itself that one could refer to.
But thanks again to everyone
Yours, Gert
Hello Gert,
Perhaps you’ll find it helpful to read what Agfa wrote about economy dilutions shortly after introducing Neutol liquid concentrates almost 40 years ago:
“Economy dilutions are particularly cost-effective when large quantities of prints are processed daily and the tray contents are therefore quickly depleted. Although the economy dilutions produce less stable solutions, in high-volume operations with a fast workflow and high developer carry-over, they allow for full utilisation of the developer’s yield and thus particularly low developer costs. To ensure consistent results, the amount of developer carried over should be replenished several times a day by topping up with the same solution. This method leads to excellent uniformity of the development. Yield with economy dilution: approximately 4 square metres per litre. Shelf life of the economy dilution: should be used up within one day. Development time: 1.5 to 2 minutes."
