...nine minutes for fixing seems to me to be considerably excessive – with fresh fixer, anything longer than two or three minutes isn’t really necessary. Only flat-crystal films, such as Kodak’s T-Max or Ilford’s Delta, require longer fixing times. To completely remove the antihalation, you don’t need to fix the film again – it’s enough to expose it to the sun for a while. Otherwise, I’ve had the best results with the Ilford rinsing method when it comes to removing antihalation – even the most stubborn antihalation is no match for this method...
