Hi there!
I’ve pulled the 120-format Rollei RPX 400 film down to 200 ISO. Now I’d like to develop it in Xtol, but I can’t find any specific instructions. Even Rollei’s own data sheet doesn’t mention anything about pulling, apart from stating that it’s possible. On other websites, I’ve read that 10–15% of the original development time for ISO 400 should be sufficient for underexposure.
Can anyone give me more precise details on this, or has anyone ever underexposed this film to ISO 200 before?
Best regards,
Bartosch

...Hmm, a rather odd way of doing things... If I want to push or pull – for whatever reason – I either use a combination that’s already been documented, or I have to expect that I’ll have to figure it all out for myself... The level of trust placed in the online community is starting to take on some rather grotesque proportions...

Hello, how did you measure the exposure, or are you sure you overexposed the film? If you exposed for the shadows when shooting scenes with high contrast (hard light), I’d reduce the development time by a factor of 1.3. Often, however, this isn’t necessary at all. In other words: just develop it as normal.

Thanks for your replies.
It was a rather spontaneous decision... perhaps a bit too spontaneous :-)
Lighting-wise, it was an hour before sunset, slightly cloudy. I mainly used exposure for the shadows in the landscape.
I think I’ll try 7 minutes 30 seconds instead of 9 minutes in Xtol Stock/ISO 400.
