Dear customers,
Over the past two years, thanks to increased sales and cost savings, we have been able to maintain prices across the entire Foma range and, in some cases, even reduce them.
During this period, Foma has implemented three price increases. The most recent were in October 2008 and February 2009. We were able to absorb the first price increase, so you didn’t notice any difference. However, the last two increases alone amount to over 20%. The fact that you haven’t been affected by this so far is due to the fact that we took several lorry loads into stock in October. However, this stock has now become so depleted that we’ve had to reorder extensively at the new prices.
As a result, we unfortunately have to increase Foma prices slightly across various product groups over the coming weeks. Films were the first product group on Monday; today we have adjusted the baryta papers.
We are doing our utmost to adjust prices by only as much as necessary. For films, for example, this would be between 10 and 12 per cent.
For other products (e.g. Fomatone), where prices were kept unrealistically low in some cases for ‘political reasons’, the adjustments will unfortunately be more painfully noticeable.
We hope that you will nevertheless remain loyal to Foma’s high-quality and still very competitively priced products.
Best regards,
Mirko

I would prefer to commit to a long-term partnership with MCP, MCC and Polywarmtone papers, as well as APX 100 film and an improved 400-speed film. As far as film and paper are concerned, that’s really the essentials for me.
