fritzsiepen Hello! Does anyone know what filter settings to use on the Durst CLS300 for the different gradients? The colours only go up to 80, but some papers specify values as high as 180... Many thanks! Fritz Siepen
Wolfgg Hi Fritz, There are people here who know a thing or two about that 8x10 monster; this guy has a similar question: http://grossformatfotografie.de/viewtopic....f=12&t=6331 Best regards, Wolfgang
fritzsiepen Unfortunately, that didn't help me much. Doesn't anyone know? Surely someone else must have a CLS 300?!
Wolfgg Fritz: Why don’t you just place a grey scale in the film holder and perform an exposure of a strip of paper once with Y set to maximum and once with M set to maximum? Then you’ll be able to see what gradation values can be achieved with the head. As far as I know, the scales on Durst machines are always densitometric. Use the following reference values for Ilford Multigrade: Gradient Filter 1 40Y 2 0Y 3 30M 4 70M Best regards, Wolfgang
