Hello, For several years now, I have been using the Metorette 8006 to carry out the development of my C-41 black-and-white films (Ilford XP2) according to the manufacturer’s specifications. I am still delighted with this versatile piece of kit. The Metorette 8006 is identical in construction to the Jonco Film Runner and also to the Film Runner that was once sold by Durst. My problem is this: although I own two drums, I only have 7 film spools. Does anyone know which spools might fit here and where I might still be able to get hold of them? I would be very, very grateful for any advice. Kind regards, Michael

Yes, the Filrunner from Almelo is really good – they’ve even advertised it: apparently a certain George Bush has one of these too... To the point: the Paterson spirals with the beads fit, and the EP ones fit as well. Metal spirals (Hewes, Kindermann) do fit, but they don’t rotate properly => very uneven development. Regards, Pitt
