Hello everyone,
Can anyone explain the difference between Farm's reducer and bleacher? When do you use which product, and which is better suited for lightening bright areas of an image (e.g. clouds)?
Thanks and best regards,
Taher

Hello Taher,
Farmer consists of sodium thiosulphate and red potassium ferricyanide, so it is a bleach-fix. You can therefore also use a more heavily diluted colour bleach-fixer as a substitute for Farmer. A bleach, on the other hand, does not contain any fixing salt. In colour processes, this is only present in the subsequent bath.
For your purposes, only Farmer is suitable.

Hi Wolfgang,
Thanks for the info. I suppose I’ll give the Farmer a go then.
Best regards,
