I’ve also had good results recently by rewinding the (black-and-white) film onto the developing spool towards the end of the drying time and then leaving it for a day or two.
It dries slowly in a cold and very damp environment (fog).[...]
However, the film does notice that the temperature in my bathroom varies significantly from floor to ceiling. It’s not a big deal, but it is noticeable.
