Hi there, € I’ve got a few questions about Kodak D-76 and Adofix P. € Regarding the Kodak: According to the instructions, for a 135 film at a 1:1 ratio, you need 250ml of developer and 250ml of water. That would make 500ml of solution. However, for my Jobo canister, I would only need 250ml per film. € Regarding the Adofix P: Unfortunately, the fixer came without any instructions on how to prepare it. Hello, Develop the D76 as normal, and for fixing you can use it straight or in a 1:1 ratio – one part fixer solution to one part water. The amount of water required is stated in the bottom left-hand corner of the Adofix P. packaging. Best regards

? Have you got something mixed up there? ? MorTal, if you only need 250 ml of developer solution, simply use 125 ml each of stock solution and water.

You can develop one 135-36 film (203 cm?) in 473 ml or two roll films together in 946 ml of diluted solution. If you develop one 135-36 film in a 237 ml tank or two 135-36 films in a 473 ml tank, increase the development time by 10% (see the table below). ? [size=4]So increase the development time by 10%.[/size] ? How is Adofix P normally prepared? The D-76 powder has to be prepared at 50–55°C. Does that also apply to Adofix, or is it sufficient to use water at 20°C?

How is Adofix P normally prepared? The D-76 powder has to be mixed at 50–55°C. Does that apply to Adofix as well, or is it enough to use water at 20°C?

I dissolve powder fixers in water at room temperature, which works fine for me. To avoid lumps, I let the powder trickle in slowly whilst stirring constantly.

The 50 degrees is just to make it dissolve more easily. If you’ve got an hour to spare, it works just as well at 20 degrees :) ? Rolf
