Hello everyone,
When developing colour prints (RA-4), a different colour appears around the edges of the prints, about 5mm wide. This is particularly noticeable with blue tones. The edges are a clear blue, whilst the residue is grey-blue. The lens on the enlarger is set to f/11, and the exposure time is always over 10 seconds. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?
Many thanks in advance,
Jü

The orange DUKA light creates a blue fog.
Could it be that something is blocking the DUKA light – apart from at the edge?
Test: Switch off the DUKA light and see if the fault disappears, then turn it down, of course.
I always had to turn my Osram Duka 50 down to the second-lowest setting...
Another older one might be hidden in the picture stage, in case something is reflecting there (polished masks, for example).
Regards,
Mirko

I’ve had another look at today’s photos. The colour difference extends even further, forming a circle towards the centre. The wheels are true to colour, but the rest is grey/brown. Could it be the halogen bulb?
