Hello, I ordered the Paterson Print Washer a while ago and have just tried it out for the first time. I have to say that the description of the washer in the catalogue – "Suitable for prints up to 30x40cm" – is, in my view, definitely incorrect. You can only fit 30x40 paper in there by forcing it. You have to practically force my remaining Agfa MCP sheets into the holder, and even the remaining Forte PW15 sheets, which are cut 1 or 2 mm smaller than the Agfa ones, barely fit. Crease-free prints are virtually impossible. Unfortunately, I traded in my Nova Washmaster for this, but had I known that 30x40 paper wouldn’t fit, I wouldn’t have ordered the Paterson. Am I the only one with this problem? Best regards, Marc

Hello Marc, Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. We tested the washer today using swollen (wet) baryta prints and can confirm your problem. We suspect that the manufacturer only tested it with dry sheets. That is really borderline design. A note to this effect will be added to the catalogue with immediate effect. Of course, you can return the washer. As a one-off, we would offer you a 30% discount on a Nova Washmaster II. I don’t know if that helps, but I wanted to at least give it a try. Best regards, Mirko

A Nova Washmaster II

This washer is brilliant. Why don’t you stock the ECO? It has the advantage of having a single tank, which can hold a hypo solution, for example. Price-wise, it’s in the same league, isn’t it? I’m familiar with both, but I think the ECO is a bit better :rolleyes:
