Perhaps many of us have encountered the same issue with ADOFILE print sleeves – they are slightly too small for standard inch-sized printing paper.
Do you have any plans to produce ADOFILE print sleeves in a slightly larger size? At the moment, there is a problem in that inch-sized printing paper does not fit into the sleeves without being trimmed slightly. The standard sizes of the printing paper are as follows:
- 9.5" ~ 24.1 cm
- 12" ~ 30.5 cm
- 16" ~ 40.6 cm
I measured the internal dimensions of the ADOFILE sleeves as follows:
- 24x30 sleeve (FP124) = 24.3 x 30.5 cm
- 30x40 sleeve (FP130) = 30.3 x 40.6 cm
Both of these are a little too tight for prints. Especially with thick fibre-based papers, trimming is required to fit the print into the sleeve without creasing it. Adding approximately 5 mm to both dimensions should resolve this issue.
Is it possible to produce a new batch of sleeves with slightly larger dimensions in the future (when?), or have you already resolved this issue? My current sleeves were purchased 2–3 years ago.
What about larger sleeve sizes – do you have any plans to produce sleeves for paper sizes of 40.6 x 50.8 cm and 50.8 x 60.9 cm? I, and presumably many others, will need these larger sizes.

RTK,
thank you for your post.
Changing the mould is so expensive that current sales unfortunately do not justify this investment.
Most people don’t mind trimming their prints down by a few millimetres. This also improves the flatness of most prints.
However, we will add this as a note to our product description. So it is a very good suggestion you have made.
We sell the full-size books (vertical format) very successfully, and we have been able to increase their size in recent years.
Kind regards,

Mirko,
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, usually the edges of the print are trimmed slightly, but not always. It’s annoying that the sleeve and print sizes don’t just fit.
How about larger sleeve sizes for papers measuring 40.6 x 50.8 cm and 50.8 x 60.9 cm (+ 5 mm!); do you have any plans to start producing them?
