Hi everyone, I recently bought an analogue camera. It’s a Minolta XD7. :) However, I’ve noticed that I can only focus within a very short range. It just won’t go any further; everything’s out of focus. :unsure: With this camera, I have to focus manually using a focus indicator. Is it right that you can only focus within a small range? Finally! To help narrow down your problem: - What sort of lens is on it? - Are there any extension rings behind it? Close-up lenses on the front? - Do you perhaps need glasses? A slightly more detailed description of the problem would also be helpful. Best regards, Franz

I have a lens, the Minolta MD 35-70. It also has a macro function. Perhaps that’s why it can’t focus on distant subjects. You have to press a button to switch to macro mode. Best regards, Wendy

You have to press a button to switch to macro mode.

Then, without holding the button down, it should be possible to focus to infinity. Best regards, Franz
