The catalogue states that if you carry out a greater dilution of this developer (than 1+9), it would also be suitable as a ‘fine art developer’. Quite apart from what ‘fine art’ actually means, I’d like to know how this approach affects the print. Does it become “finer”, or (which is of no use to me at all) does it lose depth in the shadows? Please could you explain what this addition in the product description means?
As I prefer warm tones, I’ve bought a few litres of this and am now unsure how I should prepare the chemicals tomorrow (as it’s a darkroom day for me).
