Hence my question: which fixer would you recommend for this purpose that is comparable to modern quick-fixers, which are usually available as concentrates?
Quick fixers aren’t available as powders. Why not take a standard fixer like A300? The fixing time is longer, but otherwise it all works fine. I’ve been using that sort of stuff for decades.
