Hello,
I’ve ordered some Lavaquick; it’s sitting here next to me. Unfortunately, the instructions are rather poor, and the staff at ‘Impex’ couldn’t explain anything to me apart from saying ‘it’s supposed to be quite good’...
1. Is Lavaquick also suitable for film? How do you use the wetting aid during black-and-white film development?????
2. What is the ideal way to use it after fixing baryta paper?
3. Is selenium toner still necessary, and if so, how should it be applied afterwards?
Thanks....and best regards,
Oliver

Lavaquick helps you perform faster washing or ensures adequate washing even under less than ideal working conditions.
It is therefore highly recommended that you use Lavaquick before applying the selenium toner. Poorly washed prints will stain in the selenium toner and become unusable.
It also saves time, because if you have to wait an hour for the toning every time because the print is still rinsing, it gets a bit annoying.
So it never hurts to use Lavaquick. When using it, follow the instructions on the bottle.
In simple terms: Rinse – Lavaquick – Rinse – Dry/Tone
Best regards,
Mirko
