Hello,
Very interesting – not so much because of the cost savings, but more because of the results. Are there any examples out there of Caffenol prints taken at 12 ASA or even 6 ASA, with the corresponding development times? That would be interesting.
Best regards, Achim

Hi RHartung
?
Great result, at first glance.
I don’t think Caffenol is the worst choice for this film. Although Caffenol certainly doesn’t come close to utilising the resolution potential that CMS can deliver.
Have you worked out what ASA the film delivered in this case?
After all, it’s supposed to be capable of delivering up to 80 ASA in non-Adotech developers.
I really like the film’s high contrast in this architectural shot.
?
However, I’ll continue to use Adotech for CMS myself.
Because when I use this film, I want to achieve the full resolution as far as possible.
Then I want detail, detail, detail,...
?
Generally speaking, I rate Caffenol as a developer.
And I enjoy using it.

Am I the only one struggling with the quote function?

"Although Caffenol certainly doesn’t come anywhere near utilising the resolution potential that the CMS is capable of delivering."
?
Why?
?
And I don’t find this architectural shot harsh at all, despite the very high contrast in the subject.
?
Even though I’ve disagreed with Rüdiger on other occasions, what he’s showing here and on his blog with the CHS II in Caffenol is, in my opinion, absolutely brilliant.
?
Well, I’ve got hold of a CMS 20 II to play around with; it’s waiting for spring and will then be used with Caffenol too.

No, grommi
I think the photo is brilliant too!
There’s nothing to fault in the result.
It’s just that, for me, the CMS and its developer go hand in hand.
And as I’ve already said, I’m happy to use Caffenol
