Hello,
Today I received two packs of Vario Classic Glossy 25/30x40, one with the batch number 810766 and one with the number 810784. What do these individual numbers indicate? Are they ‘different types of paper’ (=size), or have they simply been cut from different sections of the master roll?

Hello Peter,
If the first three digits are the same, it’s an emulsion batch.
However, this can be cast onto different rolls, which would result in different castings (all taking place one after the other within a two-shift window).
The roll is then divided into further sections. Retention samples from the start and end of each section are stored.
We need these for handling complaints.
That’s why there are so many numbers.
Best regards,
Mirko

Thanks, Mirko,
Great, so I can just print them straight through without any transitions!
