Hi,
Up until now, I’ve only worked with Ilford Multigrade IV and dried the prints without any problems in my Ilford 1250 RC continuous-action dryer.
Today, I printed on Adox Easy Print for the first time and was really pleased with the results. The disaster then happened during drying, when the prints got wrapped round the last roller of the dryer. They must have stuck to it, otherwise they wouldn’t have wound themselves round.
Is there anything I can add to the washing to prevent this sticking?
What other options are there for drying RC paper?
Regards,
luxikon

Hello Luxikon,
I simply air-dry my PE/RC papers. To do this, I place them in a rack that’s actually designed for drying plates after washing up. It’s made of stainless steel and cost 1 euro each on eBay. Of course, you could also buy the Kaiser drying rack. It works on the same principle, but costs 30 euros each. You do, of course, have to position the pictures so that the emulsion doesn’t touch anything. Then nothing sticks, though it does take longer to dry. The photo is just to illustrate the principle. Naturally, I don’t put the pictures on the parquet floor to dry.
Best regards,
Andreas
