Rochus
Hello,
I have been using the CHM125 (FP4) 6x6 + ATM49 (Calbe A49) combination for some time now without any problems. However, on the last two rolls of film I developed, I have noticed a very high density of dark grey speckles, which appear in the print as white/light grey, out of focus but clearly distinguishable dots. This, however, only occurs in grey areas of the image. They are not visible in very bright areas (which makes sense, as the dots themselves are light in the positive), but they do not appear on black areas in the positive either.
It is not dust (unless it has become embedded in the emulsion during drying?). The chemicals were new/unused. The processing times were the same as for previously developed films. Sufficiently fixed. They are not pinholes either (they look different...).
What other causes are conceivable?
Many thanks and best regards, Rochus
