Chupacabra Hello everyone, I’ve bought a Flexaret VI b Automat at auction. I’m a bit at a loss as to how to adjust the settings. Unfortunately, I can’t find any instructions in German online, so I’m asking you here: On the right-hand side of the lens, there’s a scale from 3 to 18 and two sliders. What do I use these to adjust? Thanks and best regards Kai
Urnes My Flexaret has a different shutter. But on your Prontor, you should be able to set the aperture and shutter speed using the levers. You can then set the settings using the 3–18 scale as a guide. So you measure the effective light value and set it on the scale. The aperture and shutter speed will then be set correctly. That’s roughly how it should work. I’d have to have a look at the shutter to say for sure, though. Regards, Sven.
Lichtjahr Hi Kai, You can find help here: € http://www.butkus.org/chinon/flexaret/flexaret_vii/flexaret_vii.htm € Although the user manual is for the Flexaret VII, the two "pins" are also described here. € Best regards, Edi
jonny Very important: NEVER use the self-timer on the old Prontor SVS; there’s a very high chance you’ll ruin the shutter!
Chupacabra Thanks for the replies. I’ll have a look at the instructions and see if I can make sense of them.
