Hello! My Pentax ME Super won’t take any more photos because the mirror won’t spring back into place. The battery might be flat. Is this a common problem, or is it actually a fault? I’d be very grateful for any advice! Regards, Philipp

The battery isn’t the problem, as the ME Super, with its flash sync speed of 1/125, can be operated entirely mechanically without a power supply. Your little gem must have a fault. Good luck finding a repair shop. Marland on Handjery Street

Hi Phillip, I’ve had this problem with an MX before too. According to the camera repair shop, it’s usually down to the magnet in question wearing out. They had to replace it on my camera. After a full service, the camera’s now working like a charm again! I had it done here: http://www.host-photoservice.de/ Best regards, Martin
