Hello,
I’d like to develop black-and-white film in the 8x11 format using the Minox daylight tank.
I have a few questions about this:
Does anyone have any experience with the ADOX CHS 25?
Which developer should I use for this? (I was thinking of Emofin)
What are the recommended development times when the temperature fluctuates (Minox tank)?
What is the availability of Copex films like?
How suitable is the CMS20 for 8x11?
Can anyone also give me a time/dilution for Minopan 25? (in APH 09)
Many thanks
Martin

Hi Martin,
I can’t say anything about the CHS25.
I’ve had good results with the Copex – 18x24 works without any problems. The film should also be available for some time to come, as, as far as I know, it isn’t manufactured in Leverkusen.
The Minopan 25 is a cut version of the Agfa APX 25 – so you can use the same exposure times.

Hello Martin,
I bought the Agfa Copex / Spur special developer set from FOTOIMPEX. When processing the film in the Minox daylight developing tank, I followed the enclosed instructions to the letter and am very pleased with the results. The bigger problem for me was enlarging the negatives. You can find my questions, the forum members’ answers and my experience report on this in the thread “Enlargement of Minox negatives” a little further down the list.
Best regards,
and good luck with your Minox films,
Andreas

Hello,
Yes, I already knew that the Minopan is an APX 25. But what exposure times should I use for the ‘Minox’ rhythm?
I think I’ll give the Copex/Spur a go as well.
What I found particularly interesting about the CHS25 is that it’s available by the metre. Then you could load either the Minox (Yashica) or the 35mm cassette.
As for enlarging, I’ll first have to make a lens mount for two short-focus lenses, which I bought from i-Bä.
But one thing at a time.
Thanks for now
Martin
