Hello everyone.
I have a question about Adox CHS 100. The FOTOIMPEX catalogue states that this film has a wide exposure latitude, but unfortunately it doesn’t say exactly how wide.
So, how far can I push or pull Adox CHS 100?
Many thanks...

Hi Marko,
...how far can I push or pull ADOX CHS?.....
Answer: As far as you like; the only question is what you’ll end up with :-)
So, seriously. Assuming an actual standard speed of 80 ASA (my base speed) in R09 or Rodinal, I can give you the following practical tips.
Pulling 1f to 64 or 50 ASA, developed in CG 512 (or Cube SX/Rollei Low Speed); superb, very good, beautiful tonal range, good sharpness.
Pushing 1f to 160 ASA in Promicrol, very good, good grey tones and sharpness etc.
Push 2f to 320 ISO in Promicrol; possible, but with compromises in the above-mentioned points.
So I would say: pulling and pushing 1f yields good results in suitable developers, provided the subject has sufficient initial contrast; pulling and pushing further is possible, but why? Other films then offer a better starting point. Oh yes, my experience is based on medium format and sheet film! But I assume that the above also applies to 35mm film; apart perhaps from the behaviour regarding ‘grain’.
Until then
