I’d like to do some initial tests with ADOX CHS 25/50/100 (roll film) soon and
develop it in ADOLUX APH 09/Rodinal.
Impex specifies 6 minutes for APH 09 at a dilution of 1+40 in the list for the CHS 25.
The digitaltruth.com website specifies 18 minutes for the Efke 25 in R09 at a dilution of 1+100 and
25 ASA – can I apply the same for the CHS 25 in APH 09?
The Impex catalogue states regarding APH 09: …can be used with high dilution up to 1+400?
That sounds interesting! Does anyone have any experience with this?!
Back when I was training at the Lette School of Photography, we worked almost exclusively
with Agfapan 100 (9x12 format) and Rodinal. The combination worked well
and, depending on the contrast, could be processed very well at ratios ranging from 1+50 to 1+250 and for 30 minutes with
constant agitation in the tray. However, with high
dilution, the ISO sensitivity decreased!
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find any further information, but I would
love to work with such flexibility again.
