Hello there... I’ve got a question. Can I buy the Fotoman 617 as a complete kit from FOTOIMPEX, but with the 72/5.6 Super Angulon XL? I think the standard kit comes with a Rodenstock or something. :spudnikwaving:

Right, and how much does the whole kit cost? You don’t get a reply by email, and if you ring, you just get a recorded message telling you to email them – and you can’t find anything on Google either...

Hmm, I’m not sure where you called from.
Our answering machine doesn’t mention the email address, only our opening hours. Judging by the time this message was recorded, I gather you probably called before 12 noon.
Our opening hours have been 12 noon to 8 pm since 1995 (actually 12 noon to 6 pm until 2001, when the law on shop closing times was changed).
We can offer you a camera for any lens from the Fotoman range, including a Schneider 72mm XL, but unfortunately not together with a Schneider lens at a special price, as Schneider is unable to grant us reasonable trade terms.
The kit price means we’re giving up our margin (in exchange for higher turnover :-) and, understandably, that only works if there’s a margin to begin with.
Incidentally, the Rodenstock is the more modern and better option, but I know there are certain rivalries and loyalties here, so I find it difficult to give advice on which lens is ‘objectively’ better.
