We have recently seen an increase in spam on the forum.
We have now installed a few filters that replace certain words (mainly from the English-speaking world) with "*".
If you wish to post a "genuine" message and find that certain terms have been replaced by "*", please edit your post and replace the affected words with different ones.
Best regards,
Mirko

That's a right pain. I'd be off shooting *-/*-/blowjob films right now, for example.
"p o r n" and "X X X" were censored.
As you can see, the filter only works to a limited extent. Where on earth have all the missing staff gone in your latest catalogue?

Hello,
The forum has stopped working for me around this time. I usually use Debian Linux. None of the browsers will display the forum content. I either get a blank page or strange error messages about servers not being found. I’ve tried it on two computers with three different Debian Linux installations. Even disabling the firewall didn’t help. I only discovered by chance that this forum still exists when I booted up Windows for a change and had a browse. The rest of this website works perfectly fine on Linux. Perhaps something can be done to fix this.
Best regards,
Renate

Hi Renate,
I’m using Ubuntu (wimpy Linux) and the site works fine with Firefox and Dillo.
But Mirko could also turn the filter off – it doesn’t seem to be filtering anything anyway...
The only thing that baffles me is how many people are looking at posts as interesting as B. Spears’ F*****, and that’s all I want to know...
Regards, Peter

Hi Renate,
Suse Linux 10.2 works fine too; Opera, Firefox and Konqueror have no problems with the forum. Perhaps it is a local issue with your Debian installation after all?
Best regards,

Hello,
It seems to be a really strange bug. I’m having the same problem on two different computers, on two different networks. Both are running Debian 3.1, though. The new Debian 4.0 is due out next week. Perhaps the bug will be fixed with the updates. After all, Ubuntu is based on Debian.
Best regards
Renate
