Hi Felix,
There are bundles on offer on eBay – should I steer clear of them, or would they be OK for study purposes?
If it’s new stock, that’s fine. But it’s usually old stuff, and you never know whether any fog or other defects are down to you or the paper.
When does photographic paper actually go off?
It’s impossible to say exactly, as it depends on the paper and the emulsion—back when cadmium was still used in the paper.
In general, fixed-grade papers actually last at least twenty-five years
if stored properly, i.e. cool and dry; multi-grade papers last significantly less time, I think?
I’d say about five years in total, I suppose
For the sake of convenience, I’ve not only dispensed with capitalisation, but also done away with spaces and punctuation. That makes writing much easier for me. You know what I mean?
Best regards,
Franz
