Hello there!
Are there any changes coming to the Adolights? The catalogue says they’re getting a black finish and sturdier tripods. I’d definitely like that.
I’ve already found identical lights on eBay in this new version. It’s just that I don’t want to throw money at just anyone… I just find FOTOIMPEX more trustworthy
I have to say, unfortunately, that the current tripods look a bit wobbly. Unfortunately, I’ve never seen them in person, so I can’t really judge. The eBay listing included air-damped (!) tripods.
Does anyone have any general experience with Adolights?
I’d like to start using them for portrait photography. I think continuous lighting is easier for a beginner.
Best regards

Hello,
I bought my lights and tripods from Brenner a few years ago. But I think, apart from the name, they’re the same as Adolight. The lights and tripods are serviceable, though what constitutes ‘serviceable’ really depends on your expectations. As a professional, I wouldn’t be satisfied with them. Their simplicity costs time. The tripods are a bit stiff when adjusting them. The lights can be a bit fiddly at times, too. As an amateur, however, that doesn’t bother me at all. I’m delighted to have got so much light for so little money. I have the time and patience, and in the end the lights are set up exactly as I need them. The results are just as good as if they’d been taken with an expensive studio flash system. I haven’t regretted the purchase for a moment.

I can only agree with Renate.
I have two Adolight lights. They might not be the sturdiest, but I have continuous light that I can control precisely (which is much harder with flash), and the Adolights are incredibly cheap.
I use them for my portraits and am completely satisfied. But watch out for the cables: the tripods are really light. On the plus side, I can move them around quickly (with the camera in my hand).
