Hello,
My Will Wetzlar 50mm enlarger lens has a thread diameter of approx. 24.5 mm (outer circumference). Is this an M39 thread?
Best regards and thank you for any replies,

No. The external diameter of an M39 thread is 39 mm.

Thanks for the quick reply!
What thread standard should my lens have, then?
Kind regards,

Could the lens have an M25 thread?

Hello canned,
Is it really 24.5 mm? Meopta enlargers used to have an M23.5 mm thread. Will certainly did not manufacture its own enlargers. It is therefore likely that the thread is a (former) standard. Unfortunately, I cannot say whether there were any other standard mounts for enlargers besides the M23.5 and M39.
Best regards,
Andreas
P.S.: Are you currently selling the lens on eBay? If so, that’s why I asked you about the mount.

Hello,
Apparently, there is no standard for this diameter range. I own a Schneider lens with a thread diameter of 25 mm. I also have a mounting plate for Durst enlargers, labelled ‘Lapla 25’. Another old lens I own has a thread diameter of 27 mm. I have a nut for this, so a plate with the appropriate hole is sufficient. Meopta, on the other hand, sells lenses with a 23.5 mm thread.
Only with the M39 thread can you be sure of getting a plate for the enlarger. For other lens diameters, you should check beforehand that you can get a suitable plate or ensure you have a good lathe.
Best regards,
Renate
