Hello! I need development times for new Agfa APX 100 in ADOX APH 09 and Kodak HC 110. For HC 110, I have a time of 7 minutes, and for APH 09, I have two times: 11.30 minutes for old APX and 17 minutes from Otto Beyer for ? Hello Otto Beyer! If you happen to be reading this: you’re often quoted in various forums and seem to be an expert on Agfa! You’ve already given me a good figure for APX 400 – does this match the 17 minutes in APH 09 for the 100? Thanks for any advice!

Hello Werner, A while ago, I worked with the Calbe R09. The datasheet for the R09 can be found here: http://www.calbe-chemie.de/shop/pdf/R%2009.pdf I developed a few APX100 films in R09 as a test. I used a dilution of 1+50 and developed them for 17 minutes. The film was exposed as ISO 64/19. Perhaps this is a suitable starting point for your own tests. Best regards, Otto Beyer!

Here is some additional data, measured by zone, from an average user, applicable to the most recent APX100 and original Rodinal: For N: 18 mins 1+50 at 20°C, agitating every 60 seconds, exposure as for 21DIN For N-1: 14 mins 1+50 at 20°C and agitation every 60 seconds, exposure as for 18 DIN Zone 9 is then 1.5D above the fog limit (for Spezial paper).
